There are two types of theft - opportunity theft and targeted theft. Unfortunately, if your property has been cased and targeted, there is little you can do to stop a professional, motivated thief. However, most crimes of theft are opportunity related, and that is where your Unagi Cinch Lock will come in handy. It coils up into a compact form and you can stow in your backpack or purse, and use it whenever needed – at the office, bar, or café.

There are a few different ways to lock up your Unagi. One, you can zip the cinch lock tightly around a pole to the stem. Second, you can route the cinch lock between the wheel and the deck. The Unagi cinch lock is just the right thickness to feed into this slot.

We designed the Unagi Cinch Lock to be easy to use and lightweight so you can always keep it with you. This added peace of mind weighs just 1/3 of a pound!

It is important to note our cinch lock is not an overnight or extended stay lock, but it is tougher than it may appear – the lock includes three stainless-steel bands wrapped in a Kevlar ® jacket which slows down most theft tools. Think opportunity theft versus targeted theft. We advise you to add a large depth U-Lock around the deck if you intend on storage outside when out of eyesight for long periods.
